First you pick a jurisdiction. Mainland or free zone? The UAE has more than 40 free zones, and each one has its own rules, fees, office requirements, and list of approved business activities. Pick the wrong license activity, and you may not be allowed to do the work you actually do, which means paying to fix it later.

Fourteen days in Dubai
Our first night, we gather under the stars. We'll meet in a lantern-lit heritage courtyard in old Dubai, share rich, slow-cooked Emirati platters, and get to know one another over traditional Arabic coffee. By the end of the night, a group of strangers starts to feel like your people.
You'll know everyone before you land.
Our group WhatsApp opens weeks before the trip, so names, questions, and flight plans get sorted early. We'll also send our recommended hotels and apartment hotels, all within walking distance of each other in the same neighborhood, so it's easy to meet up for coffee, dinner, or a spontaneous night out, in small groups or all together.
Residency appointments take up a few mornings.
We schedule them, point you to the right place, and our partners handle the paperwork. The rest of the time, Dubai is yours.
A half-day business seminar with me.
We'll dig into how to actually use your new company and residency: structuring your business, the questions to ask your accountant, and what to do in your first 90 days.
A hosted evening at my apartment.

Do I need to live in Dubai?
No. Enter the UAE at least once every six months to keep your residency active.
Does my business have to operate in Dubai?
No. Many people run global or online businesses through their UAE company. Our partners will match your license to what you actually do.
Can I bring my family?
Yes. Family pricing applies, and residency for family members can be added. We'll walk you through it.
What about taxes?
There's no personal income tax in the UAE. Companies pay 9% corporate tax on profits above a set threshold. Talk to a tax pro about your situation, especially if you're American.
Is Dubai safe?
Yes. It's one of the safest cities in the world for residents and visitors.
Do I have to join every outing?
No. Your free time is yours.
What does it cost to keep going after the first year?
Your Dubai business license must be renewed every year. Budget approximately $4,000 per year for this renewal. Your UAE residency visa is typically renewed every two years, and those costs may include medical testing, Emirates ID renewal, insurance, and government processing fees.
How often do I have to visit the UAE?
To keep your residency active, enter the UAE at least once every six months.
What if I can't make it?
Payments are non-refundable. If you've paid in full, 50% of your trip total converts to a credit toward another BOSS event, valid for 12 months from your purchase date. Deposits are not credited.
